Overview: Key Highlights From Warframe Devstream 182
Warframe Devstream 182 revealed major details about the upcoming Warframe: 1999 expansion, officially scheduled for release in December 2024. The update introduces the new Höllvania map, the Technocyte Coda adversary system inspired by Kuva Liches, customizable Atomicycles with 11 skins, and a brand-new tactical Warframe called Cyte-09. Players will also see Protoframes like Arthur, Lettie, and Amir become playable through fully voiced Gemini Skins featuring custom interactions and in-mission appearance swaps.
Additionally, Xaku Prime Access launches on November 13, 2024 with Quassus Prime and Trumna Prime, while Trinity is receiving gameplay adjustments alongside future quality-of-life improvements. The dev team also confirmed a live 1999 demo, a new webcomic collaboration with artist Karu, and continued support for the Quest to Conquer Cancer 2024 campaign.
Warframe: 1999 Release Date

Probably the biggest news to come out of Devstream 182 is that we now have confirmation that Warframe: 1999 will be released in December 2024. We don’t have a specific date set just yet, but considering December isn’t too far off, we’re confident it’ll not get further delays.
Calendar Season’s System for Warframe: 1999
Warframe: 1999 will utilize an updated ‘Calendar’ system, that should be familiar if you’re used to the previous ‘The Circuit in Duviri’ system. The new 1999 version will be themed according to the four changing Seasons – Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.
The calendar system will update every week in 1999 with a new ‘Season’ with gameplay varying depending on the current Season.
New ‘Technocyte Coda’ Adversary System

Another huge piece of news coming out of DevStream is that we’re getting a new 1999 Adversary system for the Infestation. It’ll be called ‘Technocyte Coda’ and will function noticeably differently from the already released Kuva Liches and Sisters of Parvos systems.
But engaging with the new Adversary system will guarantee an array of powerful Infested Weaponry to take to the battlefield. Of everything the new Devestream announced, this has to be our favorite of the bunch since the Adversary system in Warframe has been a godsend to the gameplay loop.
Gemini Series Skin & Atomicycle/Drifter Customizations

With Arthur already having a ‘transforming’ Gemini Series Skin from Protoframe to Warframe, the Devstream also unveiled two more transforming Skins for Lettie (Trinity) and Amir (Volt).
Additionally, the upcoming Atomicycle in Warframe: 1999 is getting 11 Skins to customize to your liking, and the ‘Drifter’ will also receive a bunch of new suite of Customization options like ‘Atlhetic’, ‘Military’, ‘Goth’, or ‘Y2K’, to match the aesthetic.
Upcoming Prime Resurgence

On November 13th, we’re getting the latest Prime Resurgence and this time around it’s for our boy Xaku who’s looking ‘Prime’ with the new Warframe variant and accompanying Prim Weapons.
Trinity Light Rework
Another bit of news that’s worth knowing is that the Devstream announced there will be some slight changes to ‘Trinity’s’ Abilities. The good news is this is a slight buff which make Trinity a bit more viable.
Some of these changes include Ability durations and Well of Life and a complete rework and replacement of her Passive. They’ll announce more details in the next Devstream slated to release in November.
That said, those are some of the most major announcements from the new Devstream 182 and with Warframe: 1999’s release rapidly approaching, fans have a lot to look forward to this coming holiday season.
But if you’ve been away from the game for a while, it’s gonna take some grinding to get back up to speed. If you’d rather not do that, you can always cop one of the many Warframe accounts for sale on U7BUY!
